rearmament
One thing they don't mention
in the “shadow work” “masterclasses”
at the strip malls lining the intersection
of Capitalism and Spirituality:
🖤
If you keep at the gentle work of integration,
eventually an opportunity arises
to look your own propensities
for malice, vengeance and violence
full in the face.
🖤
Until we reclaim our wholeness,
we will not mount effective resistance
against those who hoard and abuse power
by shattering us
and then preaching
that our best remaining option
is to try to convince one another
that at least we're Nice.
🖤
The collective will shift
in authentically sustainable ways
when--if--
we reach a critical mass of integration,
stop signaling false virtues
to a co-battered audience
and shaming those who fail to join in,
and instead embrace
the intrinsic human truth:
every last one of us
is the progeny
of a hundred thousand years of warriors.
❤️🔥
We are so much more
than our malice, vengeance and violence.
As we set terms with our warlike shadows
we create space for the warrior's gifts
including integrity, discipline,
values-focused service to the whole.
❤️🔥
O Beloved, be assured:
when we rise to this call,
these fierce and fearsome ancestors
rise to our aid.
❤️🔥
Have you heard it said?
We have not come this far
only to come this far.
❤️🔥
